Thursday 19/7 - COTAHUASI (day 2)

Pampamarca: Bosque de Piedras Hulto & Mirador de Oscune

The bus arrived in Pampamarca.

Start of the trail.  As a matter of fact the only sign.

Soon after, you must take the path on the right hand side, I do confirm.

View on Pampamarca and the Canyon.

Found some human skulls along the trail.

Arriving at the cones.

Dressed with my Puno hat.

Very steep descent, climbing was much easier.

Then I realized the origin of the skulls.

Back in town (Pampamarca).

Pampamarca, Plaza de Armas,

waiting for the 1:00PM bus back to Cotahuasi (the only one that day).

Managed to catch the 3:00PM bus from Cotahuasi to Charcana,

which faced another mechanical breakdown.

Sunset over the higher part of the Cotahuasi canyon.

When zooming on the mountain on the other side you'll

discover the incredible return road for Saturday.

Poor village underway (Andamarca).

The family guesthouse for that night.
