Australia

Friday 7/9 to Sunday 9/9 - AUSTRALIA.
Just for 2.5 days in Australia
- SYDNEY
- KATOOMBA (Blue Mountains).
Leaving Santiago on schedule, but a 24 hours delay.
The flight makes an half hour stop in New Zealand, overall it takes 16 hours.
Land of Kangaroos...
And Koala's.
Lunch time in western world, not that different from Santiago...
Sydney's famous Opera House (1958-1973)
finished 10 years over schedule and 14 times over budget...
Sydney'sfamous Harbour Bridge,
world largest long span bridge (1932).

I remember having been invited for dinner at this place!

London Tube station?  NO, this is in Sydney!

Let's leave Sydney and visit the Blue Mountains for two days
(only 2.5 hours drive from Sydney center).

First real cangaroo!

Marshmallow frog cakes in the bakery!

Ready to be eaten.

At the starting point of the Wentworth Falls tracks
(both 'National Pass' and 'Falls').

Along the National Pass trail.

Dead-end, on the wrong trail.

Already with one of the sisters... (seems there are three of them).

Found two more Sisters.

And here the famous Three Sisters.

 The nice Hostel in Katoomba.
Katoomba station, awaiting the train to Blackheart (for a full day solo hiking).

Start of the tour, first segment (Popes Glen track).

The Popes Glen river right before the waterfall.

The waterfall.

Third segment (Grand Canyon).

My Coca Cola light can on top of an ants nest.

Indeed, the 'Blue Mountains' have a blue color, especially at the horizon
(sunlight breaking by the high Eucalyptus essence vapor).
